And so for the month of July, we're diving into the transformative power of holistic health practices in our daily lives. In today's fast-paced world, achieving holistic health doesn't always require drastic measures. Often, it's the small, consistent changes we make in our daily routines that yield the most significant results. Whether you're a seasoned wellness connoisseur or just starting your journey, these simple changes can make a world of difference.
Embrace Intentional Mornings
Most times, the chaotic apps on our phones subconsciously set the tone for our day without us even realizing. So, instead of reaching for your phone right away (we know it's hardddd), try a few minutes of deep breathing or gentle stretching once you awake. Our go-to morning activities are gratitude reflections and daily planner preparation.
Mindful Eating
Cultivate awareness around your eating habits by embracing whole, nutrient-rich foods that nourish your body and mind. Of course there'll be days you can't be bothered to cook and stop for some fast grub on the way home, however, be sure to remain steadfast in ensuring that your indulgence in healthy whole foods outweigh the comfort meals.
Quality Sleep
Prioritize rest by setting a bedtime routine (as best as you can) and creating a sleep-friendly environment with a low room temp and minimal lighting. The 'ideal' 7-9 hours of uninterrupted sleep each night can be hard to reach, especially when you're operating a busy schedule, but with some planning you can achieve it!
Move With Joy
Exercise shouldn't be a chore. The gym isn't the only place to get active, and let's be real - it's not for everybody. Find activities that bring you joy and make movement a part of your daily routine. Whether it's yoga, pilates, water aerobics, or a leisurely walk in nature, staying active should be as enjoyable as it is beneficial.
